I’ve long been seeking to find the kind of breed of Diogenes’ dog friends in “Diogenes In His Jar with Dogs” by Jerome. Any idea? I like Diogenes but am captivated by the dogs Jerome used in this, my favorite of the many Diogenes depictions. I’m TheWaywardPilgrim@gmail.com (Bill)
As a former designer now working with doggies your blog is a pleasure. I have been searching for examples of well designed kennels / boarding facilities for our furry friends & came across West Side Sherherd Rescue which lead me to hear. Love to know if you are familiar with any more. We run a boarding facility 2 hrs north of NYC that services city doggies – farfetchedacres.com.
Thanks so much for your kind message and compliments! It’s always interesting to learn how someone finds my blog. I do know of a really great boarding facility that’s very popular, I’ve used them many times in the 4 years I’ve lived here. The original owners (two retired college professors) designed their operation to capture fond memories of going to a summer camp, so there are “cabins” that house the dogs. Here’s their website: companioncamp.net.
I checked out your website, such a fantastic place in a gorgeous setting! You guys must be very popular!
Hi, my name is Maija (pronounced My-uh). One of your followers, Rachel Mankowitz, listed your blog as one of her favorites; and I’m glad she did! If you have time to take in some humorous (but true) dog stories, stop by my new blog, http://www.maijaharrington.com. I’m posting chapters from my book-in-progress, “Funny Tails: Adventures and Misadventures in Living with Pugs, a lighthearted look at life with our 3 pugs plus some of the more memorable pugs we’ve fostered for Pug Rescue of North Carolina. Lots of folks think the book is very funny. Regardless, I’ll be following your blog!
Hello Maija and thanks for reading my blog! I’ll definitely have a look at yours, and so glad you’re fostering! There are a lot of pug lovers out there, I’m sure your book will be very popular!
